I recorded how I removed vocals from a pop song to be sung in wedding. Yes I know the quality of the recording is poor, it was done really fast with no rehearsal.

Nice work Brock. I was thinking…remove it alltogether by inverting it…what?! But this is a really clever way of make the main vocalist sound really really quiet compared to everything else, right?
Yes that is exactly it, I really think it is just wave cancellation. Standard physics class in High School. When I found this out I was amazed how simple it was.
The Hi-Pass filter was my little addition though. I really didn’t like the way it sounded, you can’t tell from youtube, but it was ass compared to the original.
